La Belle Époque

Full Price: € 55.00 + payment fees

Sunday July 21st, 2024 at 07:00 PM

The final concert is all about the French Belle Époque — with a somewhat flexible chronology — and simultaneously on nocturnal images. It is cast in four parts, suggesting a night of love, then dreams, nightmares, and a night party. We start with Berlioz and subsequently meet Massenet, Saint-Saëns, and Fauré, but a good chunk of the program features composers who are almost never performed in Italy and are largely awaiting discovery here, such as Guillaume Lekeu.
