Another tenth-anniversary celebration—a symphonic one. The stars of the night are the two founders and artistic directors of the LacMus Festival, plus the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano. The program opens with Brahms’s festive, humorous Academic Overture, followed by a dive into the world of Hungarian music—a selection of the ever-popular Hungarian Dances, and then three works by Liszt, namely, the Hungarian Fantasy, the dark Totentanz, and the dazzling Les Préludes, finishing in a shining, joyful mood.
