Here are two extended symphonic works by early 20th-century Russian composers. Stravinsky’s two-part ballet and Rachmaninov’s triptych are proposed in two-piano arrangements, which preserve their original grand outlines, but also enhance their Dionysian, pagan rhythmic nature.
