From 7 to 17 July 2022, LacMus Festival awaits you in Tremezzina, on the shores of Lake Como, for its sixth edition.
This year’s musical program is dedicated to the anniversaries of Cesar Franck (200 years since his birth) and Alexander Skrjabin (150 years since his birth). Inspired by the peculiarities of the two composers, the “fil rouge” of this year’s program is “mystical music”.
Since ancient times, philosophers, thinkers and theologians have attributed to music the role of “bridge” between the material and spiritual worlds: music seems to have such a profound power that it can connect man with the divine and with the entire universe. Throughout history, sound itself has been considered of sacred origin and music something transcendent, both in its vocal and instrumental form.
Among the guests of this edition, the very young winner of the Paganini Competition, Giuseppe Gibboni, the Russian violinist Pavel Berman and the versatile American pianist-composer Dan Tepfer.
Alongside the traditional forms of the classical music concert, there is the possibility of experiencing the concert at dawn and the beautiful walk of the Greenway Musicale del Lago di Como.
The concerts take place in places of great landscape and historical value: Villa del Balbianello, Villa Carlotta, the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine del Soccorso (UNESCO heritage), Isola Comacina, the Greenway del Lago di Como, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Villa Melzi d’Eril in Bellagio and – new entry this year – the Castello Durini in Alzate Brianza.
