Built in masonry, with roughly hewn local stone elements arranged in regular but non-uniform rows visible from the outside and plastered on the interior, the Church of Sant’Eufemia develops with a longitudinal hall plan, side chapels, and a polygonal apse, topped by a simple wooden ceiling structure.

Constructed in the 12th century, after the destruction of the previous Basilica Collegiata on Isola Comacina, this sacred building still envelops visitors today in an atmosphere of recollection and contemplation.
