A selection of Gabriel Fauré’s piano pieces, scarcely known and scarcely performed in Italy, may be a welcome introduction to his musical world, inclining toward introspection and dreamy moods. Right in the middle, however, there is also Luigi Nono’s towering masterpiece, …sofferte onde serene…, for piano and magnetic tape (1976). Despite its being cast in a very distant musical language, Nono’s piece moves in a similar reverie world, where images are shadows, not solid things.

Ticket includes admission to the villa gardens.
Entrance to the venue:
The ticket office opens one hour before the concert.
Admission from the access gates is allowed twenty minutes before the start of the concert.

Getting to Villa del Balbianello on foot:
The villa is accessible on foot by walking along the path from Via degli Artigiani in Lenno (see map). Walking time: about 20 min.
Getting to Villa del Balbianello by Taxi-Boat:
It is possible to access Villa del Balbianello via the lake by Taxi-Boat for a supplementary fee.
2 boats will be available. Multiple trips will be made.
No reservation is required; the service will be available to all.
Departure time: from 7.30 pm with last departure at 8:00 pm.
Boarding location: Pier in front of the restaurant “Lago” (see map).
Cost: € 18.00 Round Trip, payable directly at boarding (cash or credit card).
Return time: the first boats will leave immediately after the concert and subsequent trips will follow. We therefore ask for patience in waiting for boats to return.
Car Parking:
Large free parking is available on Via degli Artigiani in Lenno (see map).
In case of bad weather:
In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Auditorium of the Istituto Comprensivo Statale della Tremezzina in Ossuccio (see map).
