Among the key figures and supporters of the festival since its first edition, soprano Christiane Karg received the prestigious “Brahms Prize” in 2018 and will perform this year at the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Help, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2007, she won the International Singing Competition New Voices, and in 2008, she received an award at the International Singing Competition Francisco Vinas in Barcelona.
Accompanying her will be the LacMus Festival Quartet, composed of Gary Levinson – first violin of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Roberto Righetti – First Violin of the RAI Symphony Orchestra, Iakov Zats – a regular principal viola with some of Europe’s most famous orchestras, and Andrea Scacchi – trained under Enrico Dindo, former principal cello of I Solisti di Pavia, Orchestra La Verdi di Milano, and many other orchestral formations.
