Musical Meditations at the Sanctuary

Introduction

The combination of flute and harp is delightful, enchanting, and rich in symbolic associations, from ancient Greece to Impressionism. Yet, surprisingly little original music has been written specifically for these two instruments. This program is largely based on transcriptions of chamber vocal pieces, drawing primarily from the French repertoire—the one that best suits the delicate sonorities of this duo.
