LacMus Festival 2021 takes place from 8 to 18 July 2021 in some of the most extraordinary locations on Lake Como, Italy.
The 2021 musical program pays homage to the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, celebrated all over the world, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Astor Piazzolla and the death of Camille Saint-Saëns. 2020 also marked the centenary of the return of the Isola Comacina from Belgium to Italy and this year’s edition is an opportunity to celebrate this anniversary too, one year late.
In addition to the concert calendar, the program also includes the exhibition “Artur Schnabel and his family – Stories of musicians in Tremezzina, Lake Como” dedicated to the pianist and composer Artur Schnabel and his family, which can be visited from 1 July to 26 September 2021 at the Museo del Paesaggio del Lago di Como in Tremezzo (CO).
The concerts will take place outdoors.
Each activity will be carried out in compliance with the anti-Covid19 regulations, in accordance with the provisions of the Lombardy Region and the National Authorities.
To ensure social distancing in accordance with the anti-Covid19 containment and prevention measures, the artistic direction of the festival has also studied specific solutions for each location, in order to guarantee the maximum level of safety for the public.
