The Lake Como Landscape Museum is located in Villa Mainona, the ancient residence of the Mainoni family, and focuses on the presentation of the environmental and cultural values of the Larian landscape with a particular focus on the Tremezzina area.
Its rooms combine history and modernity, with a collection of ancient prints of Lake Como from the 16th to the 19th century, granted on loan by the heirs of Giorgio Bordoli Crivelli Visconti, dedicated to the main locations in the area (among others Como, Cernobbio, Tremezzo, Bellagio) and the most famous villas (Villa Carlotta, Villa del Balbianello, Villa Olmo, Villa d’Este), alongside a multimedia system for the presentation of the cultural and environmental heritage of the Larian territory, which allows you to compare historical maps and images with the current layout of the territory. The architectural complex includes the park, the villa, some outbuildings and a tower.
