With its centuries-old trees, gigantic magnolias, pines, and cedars, the Parco di Mezzagra was part of Villa Stoddard (otherwise known as Villa le Fontane) and is probably due to the famous American writer and poet also the planting of the characteristic and magnificent beech tree of a very rare variety that, after a hundred years, still shades the garden.
Originally fed by a natural spring that animated fountains and small lakes, now disappeared, the park overlooks the iridescent waters of the lake, enveloping visitors in wonder.
