Born from an idea by artistic directors Paolo Bressan and Louis Lortie, the LacMus Festival Orchestra brings together professional musicians from Italy and abroad. This ensemble represents one of the key realizations of the festival’s deeper goals, namely, to foster synergies and connections among the musicians themselves, creating artistic expression and value of the highest level.
Among the orchestra members are Roberto Righetti, violin, First Violin of the RAI Symphony Orchestra; Andrea Scacchi, cello, a regular collaborator with the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra; Gabriele Carpani, Principal Double Bassof the RAI Symphony Orchestra.
Gary Levinson is the concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Iakov Zats was the principal viola of the Arena di Verona Orchestra and regularly collaborates with some of the most renowned conductors of the European musical tradition.
