From Lake Como to Brianza, as happens in summer with the LacMus Festival, the second event will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 4:30 PM at Villa Sormani Marzorati Uva in Missaglia (LC). Nestled in the Lecco area below the hills of Montevecchia, the Villa—thanks to the work of Count Alberto Uva—is a center for the promotion of local culture, a distinguished historic residence, a symbol of a glorious past, and a testament to a collective lifestyle oriented toward a bright future. The event offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a meaningful experience of sharing, especially considering that the Villa is a private residence not usually open to the public, except on special occasions.
With paid admission (for info and reservations via WhatsApp at +39 351 631 0517), the park of Villa Sormani Marzorati Uva and the adjoining Chapel of St. Mary, which houses a fresco of St. Helena, will provide a natural stage for the event. It begins with a walk along the avenue of one hundred linden trees, illuminated by lanterns and the soft light of sunset, while sipping hot tea, a traditional offering from the LacMus Festival.
This will be followed by deep emotional resonance and a journey into the past. A harp concert by Valentina Ponte, a young performer and winner of numerous competitions, will take place in the Chapel of St. Mary next to the main body of the Villa. The music will transport the audience into the magical time of Advent, featuring pieces by D. Scarlatti, F. Godefroid, A. Hasselmans, A. Zabel, and H. Renié. This is a location that resonates with the spirit of Lake Como, chosen as a treasure trove of memories from a region where history, tradition, and culture intertwine—with music acting as the intangible synthesis during a time of year that most invites togetherness in all its forms and cross-cultural expressions.
At the end of the concert, guests will be welcomed into the charming Sala del Torchio, recently restored and enhanced by a nativity scene created by Maurizio Villa, for a convivial moment and holiday toast with mulled wine and panettone.
