Biography

The Amber Trio is a clarinet trio composed of Gaia Zecchini, Fabio Bargiga and Manuel Ticozzi, students of the “G. Cantelli” Conservatory in Novara. The ensemble was formed through shared chamber music experiences and stands out for its timbral unity and versatility, ranging from classical repertoire to jazz and klezmer.

GAIA ZECCHINI

Gaia Zecchini, born in Varese in 2000, began studying clarinet with Federico Allegro. In 2025, she graduated with top marks from the “G. Cantelli” Conservatory in Novara, where she studied with Sandro Tognatti, Maura Marinucci and Roberto Bocchio. She is currently attending the chamber music postgraduate course and has been admitted to the Saluzzo Advanced Music Academy.

She has attended masterclasses with Fabrizio Meloni, Calogero Palermo, Aron Chiesa, Fabio Di Casola and Michele Carulli. As principal clarinet of the GAMA Quartet, she has won national and international competitions and performed in the MITO SettembreMusica 2025 season. She was also awarded a scholarship from the Italian Ministry of University and Research for the project International Routes: Arts Creating Future.

She collaborates with the Teatro Dal Verme and Teatro Coccia and is active as a teacher in several music schools.

MANUEL TICOZZI

Manuel Ticozzi (1999) began studying clarinet in 2008 at the Corpo Musicale di Fomarco. He attended the Omegna Music High School and continued his studies at the “G. Cantelli” Conservatory in Novara, where he obtained his Master’s degree in 2024. He is currently enrolled in a postgraduate chamber music programme.

As a member of the GAMA Quartet, he has won national and international competitions and performed in the MITO SettembreMusica 2025 season. He also received a scholarship for the project International Routes: Arts Creating Future.

He has collaborated with the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan and is active as a teacher in music schools and educational projects. He has also taught clarinet at the Rina Monti Stella Institute in Verbania.

FABIO BARGIGA

Fabio Bargiga (2004) began studying clarinet in 2011 at the Corpo Musicale di Fomarco with Fabrizio Bionda. He continued at the Piero Gobetti Music High School and since 2023 has been studying at the “G. Cantelli” Conservatory in Novara with Roberto Bocchio.

In 2026, he participated in a Lectio Magistralis led by Riccardo Muti, and in 2023 he was awarded a scholarship from the Fondo Brusoni. He has attended masterclasses with Aron Chiesa and Michele Carulli.

Alongside his studies, he is active as a teacher in music schools of the Fomarco and Bannio bands.
