El Peli is a young flamenco guitarist born in Alicante in 1998. He started playing as a child and soon stood out for his skills and sensitivity. In 2019 he moved to Madrid, where he toured the most important tablaos in the capital, such as Villa Rosa, Las Carboneras, Corral de la Morería and Flamenco de Leones, among others, while at the same time establishing himself as a guitarist in dance shows.
His name has grown like wildfire in recent years and he is now considered one of the heavyweights of today’s flamenco guitar. His elegance and virtuosity have led him to accompany artists of the stature of Alfonso Losa, Jesús Carmona and José Maya, among many others.
He has just released ‘Me lo sopla el viento’, his first album in collaboration with the Malaga cantaor Al-Blanco (1998), a live recording that shows his profound knowledge of the guitar, his love of flamenco and his contemporary vision of the genre.
El Peli is an artist with an infinite musicality and an unmistakable sensitivity that goes beyond his guitar and pinches where it hurts the most. An artist who, although flamenco from head to toe, is a lover of other musical genres and knows how to invoke them when he needs them. His guitar is capable of painting the most beautiful and ethereal melodies while at the same time supporting all the rhythmic weight of the most complex and impacting dance shows in flamenco today.
