Second part of the piano marathon in tribute to the 250th anniversary of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s birth. The program features five of Beethoven’s nine symphonies, in the piano transcription by Franz Liszt—works in which the Hungarian composer, fully exploiting the unparalleled expressive, tonal, and harmonic potential of the keyboard, recreates the macrocosm of the great symphony orchestra.
