Two expansive symphonic works by early 20th-century Russian composers, Stravinsky’s two-part ballet and Rachmaninoff’s triptych, are here presented in a two-piano transcription that retains their grandiose scope while simultaneously highlighting their rhythmic, Dionysian, and pagan dimensions.
