LacMus Festival invites the most ardent music lovers to the “pre-concert talks” – half-hour immersions into the world of composers and works that will be performed. If you are going to attend the concert “Hommage à Gabriel Fauré” on July 12, 20:30, at Villa Carlotta (or even if not) – we invite you to “get the keys” to this music at 11:30 in the Museo del Paesaggio del Lago di Como.
The pre-concert talk to the concert “Hommage à Gabriel Fauré” will be introduced by Marcello Piras, historian, scholar and cultural entertainer, born in Italy but currently living and active in Mexico. His short conversation will sketch a profile of Fauré in the late 19th-century French musical world, to then tell about those aspects of the composer’s personality that are revealed by the two musical works we are about to hear – his Quartet op. 15 and Quintet op. 115.
