Third part of the piano marathon dedicated to Beethoven and to the 250th anniversary of his birth. We will listen to five of the nine famous Beethoven Symphonies, in the version transposed by Franz Liszt. Here Liszt is able to re-create the world of a symphonic orchestra enhancing the great expressivity of the piano’s timbre and harmonic possibilities.
This way the Beethoven/Liszt Symphonic Marathon becomes an opportunity to listen to Beethoven’s most famous repertoire in a new dimension.
Instructions to live this concert:
This concert introduces a new way of experiencing music: the symphonies will be listened live in acoustic mode near the piano and in headphones (through the Silent Wi-Fi system) moving freely between the gardens and the villa.
Symphony No. 9 will have a break and consequently will be divided into two parts.
The fruition of the concert must be alternated: each spectator will be able to enjoy both the modes of listening, in order to respect the rules of social distancing and to give the opportunity to all the audience to enjoy both musical experiences. Therefore it will not be possible to listen to the whole symphony only acoustically or only through headphones.
The LacMus Festival staff will assign seats for both modes of fruition.
Headphones are provided at no additional cost by LacMus Festival and will be sanitized after each use.
